Bed Breakfast near Newcastle

Newcastle upon Tyne is a city of history culture and beauty waiting to be explored.

The city has several museums of world wide fame. The Discovery Museum with a life size boat inside is spread over several floors appeal to all ages large and small admission is free. Hancock Museum has world famous exhibitions including mummy’s as well as bird and animal exhibitions the dodo is well worth a look every year there is a different exhibition on Dinosaur exhibition was a family favourite. The Centre of Life is the youngest of our museums in Newcastle with interactive exhibitions see what we would look like as monkeys had us all laughing narration from Ant and Dec is always a favourite with the children.

If art and culture are your thing Newcastle will not disappoint you with the Baltic Laing Art Gallery or the Biscuit factor has art to please all young and old they also have ceramic and glass exhibitions as well as all this they have activities and guided walks around the gallery. museums have places to eat the Laing has a coffee shop the biscuit factory has a coffee shop and resturant.  The Baltic has a viewing gallery which is fantastic to see up and down the Tyne and see all the bridges

Shopping in Newcastle is great with a nice mix of high street brands and independent stores appealing to all.

Newcastle has been put on the map for food by Terry Leybourne and there are all types of restaurants cafes and bars to suit all tastes and pockets. Caffe Vivo is the new italian restuarant very yummy

If you are visiting Newcastle for a short break I would recommend that you take a bus tour as you can be dropped off at different areas of the city as Newcastle is spread out and there is a lot to cover by foot. The Riding will be ideal to rest after a visit to Newcastle whether on business or pleasure as we are only 7 easy miles away but surrounded by countryside.



7 stories is new to Newcastle but is a fantastic place to visit with or without the children 7 storeys of books for all ages and ranges they do story times as well as other activities it was a lovely way to spend a rainy day and is on the guided bus tour.
