New Alive after Five

NewcastleGateshead is now Alive after Five with a permanent change to Newcastle City Centre's trading times. Extended retail opening hours until 8pm weekdays and 7pm on Saturdays will see a change to the way visitors and residents experience NewcastleGateshead. Free car parking in 8 multi-storey car parks across the city and a whole host of events and activities, including a packed programme of world-class street entertainment, will all help bring the city to life after hours.
The initiative adds to the shopping offer of nearby Metrocentre, which provides late night opening until 9pm weekdays (10pm over the Christmas period) and 7pm Saturdays, making NewcastleGateshead one of the country's most vibrant shopping and leisure destinations this winter and beyond.
